Cambridge Society for the Advancement of Research
The CSAR organises fornightly meetings in which eminent and cutting-edge scientists present their latest findings. The meetings - which commence with a sociable cup of coffee and chocolate biscuits - take place at Churchill College, Cambridge, and are open to all.
Non-members are currently charged £2.50 to towards the costs of hospitality, and the audience has included many of the Universy's great figures, including Nobel laureates.
Our topics range from GMOs to climate change, and from astronomy to the science of music! Members are also invited to visits and social events.
Our President is biologist and broadcaster Brian J Ford.
