Yippee on King St is independent and does lovely soups/broths, and it's better than chains like Wagamamas and Thaikun. Not sure where you'd go to get a more decadent and authentic experience though, there must be somewhere in Cambridge.

I've been a few times to Hong Kong Fusion on Trinity Street which is good and does hotpots, but I haven't had the hotpot.

Charlie Chan's on regent Street is good, especially for hotpot, I seem to recall someone telling me.
