Anyone had any experience of commissioning translation? My g/f asks "what would be a fair amount per hour to offer an MA student for five hours of translation from Ukrainian to English?"
I suspect the language isn't that important to the price. Any ideas?

Not sure per hour, but I think £90 - £120 per thousand words is the going rate...

First Edition are the people my employer uses for translation work, might be worth asking them for a price.
