Is there anything worth seeing in Newmarket or is it just another small-town shit hole?

Advice please?

Newmarket has horses and racing but that's quite obvious...

There's a shite horse racing museum,
There's a quite good market - one of those that is like a huge Kailash - you can get cheap candles, bottles of shampoo but nothing really interesting,
There's a victorian clock tower at the end of the road,
There's a few interesting shops which sell cheap kitchen good and gardening items,
There's a Wimpy Bar so you can have a retro lunch,
There's a terrible nightclub.

That's about it... Yes - it's a bit shit.

Newmarket is just rubbish. If you are going there you might as well go a bit further and go to Bury St Edmunds. They have a cathedral, an Abbey, some tudor graves AND some decent cafes. There's much more to see.

Wasn`t it last time Neil someone repeatedly posted your advert with your full name, address and phone number to help your reconditioning ajs matchless motorcycle business every time you replied on WAN. You disappeared after that. Was it you were worried that your vile nasty bigoted views on here could have consequences with the wereallneighbours users and lurkers. When you disappeared last time that help for linking your business on here stopped. Stay around and WAN will help with jampot reconditioning, let`s help Neil reap the benefits of loud and proud advertising.

William and Neil frequent Newmarket, dancing round their handbags on a Saturday, it's not far from William's house, the 6 mile difference gives them all the inside gossip for their punchy articles.

Keep pushing it and I'll publish his full address.

Just look at the sheer number of £1 type shops on newmarket high street.
if you want to see real vileness, try the PALOMINO PUB
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/place?hl=en&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=palomino+pub...
The place stinks, they haven't changed the carpets since 1978 and the customers are the same too.

I went to a few gigs at the Palomino about 10 years ago. One time my dad took me because his uncle lived just down the road. I thought less of my great uncle after that.

The library in that horrible shopping centre always has books for sale outside. That's a good thing, because the books in library sales are always very cheap and cheap books are obviously a very good thing.

Unfortunately, the books are always really crap.

Apparently, the chip shop near the pet shop on the other side of the horrible shopping centre does nice haddock.

Published by John Techno at 1:22pm on Fri 26th August 2011.

I used to work at that library. Would nab all the decent non-fiction withdrawn stock.

Published by Rocket Dog at 1:30pm on Fri 26th August 2011.

Also.
I've noticed that Newmarket has a larger than normal number of larger than normal mum types pushing those buggies that contain a larger number than average number of children, you normally see in those buggies
Newmarket supermarkets also sell more chicken nuggests than anyehere else in europe apart from Corby, liverpool and Scotland.
