I already have a badge. Besides, I have discovered that the PRK is best served chilled, at dawn, in a kitchen.

Badges! Get in! Sunday? Shall do my utmost to be there...

CD, more wet than chilled perhaps. This time we'll be able to remember what we play and everything!

Remember kids: one pint good, two pints bad, a whole night of drinking and the rest is very silly.

Oh you are such tempters and teases. Do you have a photo of a badge you could post? We are considering ducking out of a relative's birthday party for this. Feel honoured.

The badges are of a very high quality indeed! It's difficult taking photos of tiny things like badges on my ancient digital camera so I gave up in the end. You'll just have to turn up to see them in person:-)

Published by Mattstep at 3:15pm on Fri 6th July 2007.

anyone know stage times?

Cool, that looks do-able :-)

Ooh! 9! That's late for us! we'll have to check with our mums:-)

Did you get my e-mail about kitshare earlier Simon?

Published by Mattstep at 3:50pm on Fri 6th July 2007.

bumpety bump!

Published by Mattstep at 12:06pm on Sat 7th July 2007.

Becky Repair is travelling all the way down from Scotland to play this gig. Tomorrow she's travelling all the way back up there again. This is how much the Repair Kit care about playing for you. Actually, we care even more than this but just don't have any more specific examples to back up our claims. Believe!

For goodness sake: Badges! BADGES!!

Published by Mattstep at 12:41pm on Sun 8th July 2007.

Shit, hope it's busy so i can pay you then :s

Published by simon_b (not active) at 12:46pm on Sun 8th July 2007.

I might have broken my voice at the kambar. Husky husky! Also, I bought a new dress for the wearing, this is almost as exciting as badges. Almost but not quite: BADGES!

Published by lozzy at 12:50pm on Sun 8th July 2007.

PS for the perves amongst you I'm currently trying to decide whether wearing a bra that shows or wearing no bra and having visible nipples is the better option ;o)

Published by lozzy at 1:36pm on Sun 8th July 2007.

Wearing a bra that shows would obviously be a faux pas of immense proportions. Obviously.

Published by Robadob at 1:42pm on Sun 8th July 2007.

I won't be wearing a bra either.

Thank you to everyone who came down, I couldn't quite hit the notes in places and we're definately wonky still but people clapped and said nice things, and some of it may even be true.

Peas x

Published by lozzy at 11:49pm on Sun 8th July 2007.

and we're definately wonky still

And long may you continue to be. A non wonky PRK would just be wrong.

Sorry I didn't make this, had family things to attend to.

Published by Robadob at 11:59pm on Sun 8th July 2007.

Yip, was a pleasurable evening. Nice to see a few friendly faces.

PRK were very good. I approve....

Published by Jah_Pat at 12:38am on Mon 9th July 2007.

Should have come but I was in a mood :(

Published by ax_coterie at 12:56am on Mon 9th July 2007.

It was good. Nice to hear a Jah_Pat 'huzzah!' between songs. And shonky as the PRK may still be, I remember seeing the Delgados shortly after 'Monica Webster' came out and they were as close to falling apart, if not closer.

The PRK remind me of Tompaulin. Yes.

Once I got over the fact that I wasn't watching Toploader, I also quite enjoyed TSDOLE. Not lifechangingly wonderful, but then so few things are...

Sorry for chipping off without ceremony, had to be up at six something this morning to feed someone's cat.

Published by Matt Abysmal at 8:22am on Mon 9th July 2007.

This was last night wasn't it? Bollocks!

Published by DJ Ohmygod at 9:27am on Mon 9th July 2007.

I was sitting in the sun on Parker's piece listening to World Music, drinking cider and watching the plethora of retard chavs get hassled by the pigs... zero tolerance on anti-social behaviour and it needed to be... was going to pop along to the Portland afterwards but was too shattered, burned and food was needed.

We stayed in and watched The Long Good Friday. Probably should have gone to the Portland.

More PRK kitchen gigs I say. You're welcome to play our dining room any time you like!

Published by crushingdeath at 9:54am on Mon 9th July 2007.

after listening to TSDOLE in the afternoon i was really looking forward to them but found them 1 dimensional and frankly boring after a few songs. several others seemed to feel the same

PRK were very good though

Published by James Alternation (not active) at 11:19am on Mon 9th July 2007.

I think part of the problem was a sound one. Due to the fact the microphones that had been nicked the other week still hadn't been returned, we couldn't do things like put a mic in front of the guitar amps, which would have made the sound more expansive. Grrr to stupid bands walking off with microphones.

Published by simon_b (not active) at 11:25am on Mon 9th July 2007.

This is true, but without blowing my own trumpet, I had nothing but compliments about the sound for PRK, but that could be, as I told Mattstep and Lozzy, that I muted everything and put a CD on instead ;)

Published by JazzRTC at 11:30am on Mon 9th July 2007.

the problem wasn't the sound for me, it was that i found them boring. The 1 dimensional bit wasn't meant soundwise, just that all the songs sounded very similar.
Anyway, it's all subjective, i'm sure loads of people loved them

Published by James Alternation (not active) at 11:31am on Mon 9th July 2007.

Jazz, you did a fine job on sound last night indeed. I had fun.

Published by simon_b (not active) at 11:32am on Mon 9th July 2007.

Jazz the sound jedi has found his "level" and I have to say he has had produced good sound for last few gigs I've been to. Especially the half-dayer... but where the fuck are these microphones? Bad fucking deal that... if you realise post gig that you have alien wares in with your gear - you ensure they are returned ASAP to their rightful owners.

Published by ababoonsass at 11:41am on Mon 9th July 2007.

If the micrphones dont turn up today I'll take things further.
Perhaps the threat of reporting them as 'stolen' will wake them up.

Published by theportland at 11:44am on Mon 9th July 2007.

Hate to say it, but sounds like a plan. You know the name of the band etc.

Published by simon_b (not active) at 11:59am on Mon 9th July 2007.

Grr hiss etc. I completely failed yet again to pick up my cardi from you people, someone try and rememeber next time I'm in the pub and batter be around the head until I rememeber? yeah? grand.

Published by lozzy at 1:09pm on Mon 9th July 2007.

Last night was really good, lots of people who we don't know (and some we do) said really nice things about it. Jazz did good on the sound front (though I did get a touch of Parrish-disease in soundcheck, wanting to turn the Ultra Metal pedal up to 11). SDOLE wore our badges with surprising pride:-) I thought they were excellent, certainly fascinating to watch as they all lurched around the place and swapped instruments and stuff. We envied their equipment and their ability to actually play their instruments...

Published by Mattstep at 1:16pm on Mon 9th July 2007.

SDOLE loved you lot. You were their fave support all tour.
