If I remember correctly, D Wayne (the WANer) made some offensive comments which the first WAN moderator Andy deleted, so D Wayne posted some very aggressive threads slagging off Andy and threatening him. I assume that Andy blocked him and deleted his posts. Someone told me that D Wayne had had some personal problems, though I never had any contact with him myself.
I don’t know if it was the same D Wayne as the band. I suspect not - I don’t really see why a semi famous person would be posting on a local Cambridge messageboard. Besides I quite like Alabama 3 and it doesn’t really tally with the image in my head. My conjecture of course.
