fluffy

A crappy phone CCD could never hold a candle to the awesomeness of JT's camera, but here's one of my favourite moments from last year: a tree that had fallen over and shed fluffy white down all over everything near it, looking at first like snow and then like the kind of place where faeries might be hiding.

This reminds me: didn't we have a "WAN Snaps" thing on the front page which would show photos submitted by WAN users? I haven't seen it for ages; maybe I should go look at how it was meant to work.

I think the rhea that escaped and was running round Cambridgeshire for a bit (an excellent training aid when out on the bike, I'd have thought) was indeed shot. A pity; I'm of the opinion that we need more dangerous bad-ass animals running wild in the British countryside - we should reintroduce bears and stuff like that. Maybe woolly rhinoceros, sabre-toothed tigers, velociraptors and the like too.

Since WAN is filling up with woo-woo bollocks at the moment, can you be sure it wasn't angel hair?

OMG! That's it! Clearly the tree was knocked over by a low-flying UFO!

It's a good thing we've got Kevin Pridgeon to help us make sense of this revelation.

This could explain the morgellons outbreak, too.

It's the cheesiest, most over-used effect going, but I sort of like it. And it's a piece of piss to do, which is a bonus.

I wish my camera had an "Insert Majestic Tiger" function.

The "take a picture of itself" function is good. You'll notice it doesn't even need to be pointing at itself, too.
