Yes it's one and the same. I think he really needs to get off his high horse.

What a selfish man. The Kings Cross train is awful for overcrowding and although I don't suffer from any problems in crowds, it is heartening that staff do their best to stop this with sensible advice (extra carriage would be better though!)

He has only made it upsetting for himself and others by his own actions. All he had to do was move the bike - job done. I worry about people like this, they must get upset and angry about all sorts of small stuff when there are more important things to be concerned about.

Yes this is also the bloke who attached a van driver for parking on a cycle lane, a real first class nutter.

I have had the misfurtune to be at certain meetings where Mr Rosentstiel has attened, he goes off like a rocket at the slightest thing that he dosen't agree with.

You have got to love them Liberals, maybe he will be the replacement for their current Cambridge MP?

I was under the impression that Ragin' Rosenstiel got booted off the council as a result of the ambulance incident. Obviously I was mistaken.

Anyway it seems clear to me that the man is not just a nuisance but a danger, both to himself and to those around him, and I find it hard to see how he can be trusted with any kind of position of power.

He said: "I was [...] doing something I do regularly"

Yes, Colin, we're aware of that.

Some hilarious comments below the story plus this winge at the News from the man himself:

There was a time when your newspaper would support its readers who find themselves in conflict with unreasoning abuse of authority by minor public officials. Regrettably you have chosen to further a political attack"

What a very stupid little man!

he''ll get off with being forced to write a letter of apology like when he blocked the path of an Ambulance on a 999 call because it was "breaking a local bye-law"

Roenstiel for MP!!

He always reminds me of a very spoilt child who can't get his own way.

Loony Liberal tosspots.

You would think that people would pay more attention to councillors' personal qualities and failings when voting but they just seem to vote along party lines. Hence this bloke is still a councillor and the excellent Paul Sales, sadly, isn't.

The longest serving councillor on Cambridge City Council has appeared in court accused of hitting a child.

Colin Rosenstiel, who has sat on the council for 37 years, was before city magistrates yesterday charged with assault by beating in Cambridge on November 2.

The 64-year-old Liberal Democrat pleaded not guilty to assaulting the alleged victim, who is 7 years old but cannot be identified for legal reasons.

Clearly a 7 year old kid riding their little pink bike, with stabilisers, ON THE PAVEMENT, represents a significant threat to law and order in our society.
