post-lockdown pub recommendations
who has the best pub garden, and just how booked up will it be? bit chilly, though forecast looks okay for next weekend. i can't remember if substantial meal is still a requirement?

Meal is no longer a requirement.
Since "the event" I have been to the Alex and the Haymakers, both have large gardens, good beer and nice service. I haven't been to either since October but I assume they are still similar.

The Haymakers aren't taking bookings.
Hopefully they won't be too busy on Saturday evening when I plan to venture into Cambridge for the first time in months.
I have a couple of friends who plan to turn up as early as they can; hopefully they'll get obnoxiously drunk as quickly as possible and keep some room free on their table for me.

last friday i took a break from work to read a book and drink a pint in The Castle. it was okay, not quite warm enough, the sun was breaking through when i had to get back to it so people could get da money.
seen signs up on The Waterman too allowing walk ins; plenty of places not open yet tho
