Yeah, it's still on my server. I don't do much with it though; even the spammers have mostly left at this point.

Does the search facility extend to posts that were made by an account that was subsequently deleted?

The search box isn't part of WAN. It's just a shortcut to a Google search.
If someone deletes their posts then they'll still appear in the search results for a while until Google gets around to reindexing them. I don't know how long that takes.
You won't be able to click on them and read the whole post though. You'll only get to see the few snippets that Google gives you.
