So they didn't get their crime reporter to write an article about his own crime? LOL!

Lol! First thing I checked was who wrote the article! I too kind of expected him to have written his own story. Does that mean we will no longer be told the best place to go dogging??

He'll have to write about his experiences in the prison shower instead, I suppose.

The thought that he may have been permanently high certainly explains a lot about his journalistic career.

Representing himself in court, Brown said he was due to go on holiday to Malta when he received a call from his doctor, telling him he had a shadow on his lung on September 20, 2018.

Oh, well I suppose that's OK then.

He added: "I admit possessing the drugs but there was no intent on my part to use them.

Confused by this defence. Surprised they didn’t take this to mean intent to supply, a far more serious offence.

He was also ordered to pay a £121 victim surcharge and court costs to the sum of £400, meaning a total fine of £1.732

Brown has clearly made a mistake, lost his job and ruined his life over a reasonably minor offence, which he regrets. So glad he wasn’t faced with a large fine too. Imagine if it was £2! Lol.

I'm surprised they took him to court at all if all they had was possession.

Or, wait ... could there be some, shall we say, prior bitterness there? ;)
