The City Centre Mystery Void
Remember this story from a few years back? Road works somewhere in the city discovered a fairly large mystery void under a street, which ultimately turned out to have been a botched repair on water mains or something like that. I can't remember which street it was on and Googling various keywords hasn't helped.

Nope. Longer ago than that and more in the centre. We had a joke on here about borrowing someone's kid and wrapping it in tinfoil so it looked like an alien had been recovered from the hole, like in Quatermass and The Pit (but I can't find that thread either).

I seem to remember it turned out to be something to do with BT - a fact which briefly appeared on the Cambridge News site and then got hastily withdrawn, maybe because they didn't actually have any proof?

Spooky. Obviously there was actually an alien spacecraft in the hole (hushed up by the NWO, NSA, NWA, NFA, etc) and it's sending us telepathic messages so we both remembered it at about the same time.
Silent Rob didn't get the message because he's not one of the Chosen, like us. He should probably buy us shitloads of beer so we'll put in a good word for him when the flying saucers come to take us to our new home just before the Earth is destroyed.
