FAO JT

I'm sure you've seen this already, but here's another design for a bicycle CVT - with the ability to shift under load, at least according to Wikipedia:

I like the design. However: "NuVinci" - what a shit name!

Indeed it is. I hope it's an utter flop, and the rights to the design eventually get sold for next to nothing to a company with a less crap marketing team!

Anyway, I thought I'd do my bit for the environment by recycling the "FAO JT" thread...

We've talked occasionally about doing a revamp of Who Invented Foxes. Well, I just got this email from Google telling me they're going to start moaning at people who visit it in Chrome. Maybe this would be a good time to give it a quick once over?

Nonsecure Collection of Passwords will trigger warnings in Chrome 56 for http://www.whoinventedfoxes.com/

To: owner of http://www.whoinventedfoxes.com/

Beginning in January 2017, Chrome (version 56 and later) will mark pages that collect passwords or credit card details as “Not Secure” unless the pages are served over HTTPS. [...]

Yeah, it probably could do with a revamp - to be honest, I was never sure it looked quite how we wanted it to look anyway (as JoosyPigeon put it, "it looks like a website from 1996").

Yeah, but he edits his videos to make the little hissy bits at the start and end of speech segments overlap, and they end up sounding like cheap, crappy local radio adverts. So, nerrrr. ;)

To be honest I can't remember where the graphic design came from. The app's doing quite well, though, with 4.3 stars: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.whoinventedfoxes.and...

Henry the Finnish "Snow on Firs" artist did the fox, we just kind of bodged the rest. Is there some sort of customisable off-the-shelf design (free, obviously) we could use?
