Geese are supreme creatures, their torture should not be tolerated.

I disagree, Geese are nasty, evil little creatures. However I don't approve of hurting them.

I must admit, I don't see much difference in force feeding a goose, then killing it and eating it or feeding a cow, then killing it and eating it. They both result in unnecessary suffering and death of the animal. Yet some people decide that one is acceptable and the other one isn't.

Makes absolutely no sense to me, but each to their own.

Geese are selective with who they hiss at, if you see the ridges inside their mouths as they speak, it means that you have been selected by a higher entity to be their target. This could be because of sins commited in this or previous lives.
There is no difference in the killing part, it's the torture before the killing that makes the production of Foie gras uglier than the rest of the ugly meat industry, which in it's self is uglier than those Trump naked statues they had.

There are tons of examples of animals being kept in torturous conditions before being used for food - battery hens, dairy cattle being constantly made pregnant and fed hormones, Foie Gras etc.

Everyone has different viewpoints. Some people will happily eat rare steak, but consider veal to be inhumane. Some people will eat milk and eggs, but only organic free range. Other people don't give a toss. Some countries eat horses and guinea pigs, others think that's cruel (but sheep are fine).

I'm not saying that any viewpoint is more valid than others, but I find it tremendously amusing how we seem pick and choose our morality. :)
