The stupid and selfish driving makes going on the A14 on a bike moronic.
The law should change to make going on big A roads like the A14 illegal for pushbikes, just like it is on a motorway.

I thought I saw something which implied that the A14 was a 'secret' motorway which didn't have the same rules as an A-road, the reason being that part of it was built as a motorway and the way the rest joins it without certain types of junction means the motorway rules apply throughout, but it can't be designated a motorway for political reasons.
I think this A14(M) is part of the issue:
