Event of the Year: The Waterloo battle re-enactment at the Dev.
I found that very educational, actually. I had no idea that the Battle of Waterloo was fought by soldiers who stood in neat rectangles and took it in turns to shoot at each other.
I even learned that the rectangular formation was used as a defence against the giant dice that kept falling out of the sky in those days.
