Aye I've been there too for the opening a week last Saturday. It's BIG! 140 covers, including outside. I only had the coffee and a cake, both of which were more than fine. They have a back room for meetings and bigger parties like Saturday morning rowers. I think it'll be a hit. Nice groovy vibe etc.

is it only the back room with soft chairs/sofas? I think the Instagram pics I saw all had standard stackable chairs. Reminds me I haven't been to the Arts Cinema bar in ages

The back room is chairs and tables, the sofas/armchairs are in the front area near the windows.

It's on the opposite corner to Spar on the site of Hallens, later a Polish store.

i went there for lunch. It seemed pricey (£4.95 for a pannini). Very hipster.

that's a pity, might try it out on Friday if I get time

how would that compare to a panini from some other random small cafe in town like Afternoon Tease, Arts Picturehouse bar, Clowns, D'arcy, Stickybuns, Tatties, Carringtons, Hot Numbers, Black Cat....

Yes i did wonder that, but as i'm not a regular panini-purchaser I have nothing to compare it to. Maybe it's standard. I wouldn't say that it was a fantastic panini though, although I do have quite high standards when it comes to eating out.
