Pottery classes for children

Does anyone know of one? My nine-year-old is keen to learn to use a potter's wheel, but if you search 'pottery classes for kids', all you get is endless paint-your-own-pot nonsense.

You might be interested to know that the Garden Centre in Shelford used to throw their own plant pots etc on site? Maybe (if they still do), you might be able to take him/her along to watch the process in action.
They might also be able to help with where in the area their are classes - hope it helps : -)

Not sure about courses specifically for little ones, but here's a link to loads of different pottery classes in Cambs: http://www.cambridgeshire.net/courses/Results.aspx?searchText=pottery. Some of the teachers might also run other courses not listed on the site.

Oooh, splendid. Thanks, that looks promising.

i wonder whether contacting Cambridge-based pottery makers would yield some answers too. I have an old open studio guide from this year if you want it.
