New-ish Indian restaurant (old Bird In Hand) - any good?

Not sure what it's called - there's now an Indian restaurant in what used to be the Bird In Hand on Newmarket Road near Liz Way roundabout - anyone been? Any good? Someone I work with heard good reports.

I too have heard good stuff about this place, but haven't been either. They do a special meal price.
Their menu is certainly not the stereotype Indian and two poppadoms.
Trouble with Indian or Chinese i get stuck in a rut. Kismet for Indian take away, Pipasha or Taj (CHR) for eating in, and double seven for Chinese.

I love Kismet. The bloke who's always working behind the counter is cool too.

They always get the order right and wizz top food to your door.
They make the most fierce Veg Vindaloo with extra spinach in town.

The first I heard of this place was when looking on Trip Advisor one day and seeing it was the #1 rated restaurant in Cambridge with 5* reviews all the way. It hadn't been open long so it's fair to say I was a tad suspicious. I see it's dropped down to #4 now that a few authentic reviews have infiltrated the rest ....

I've heard word-of-mouth recommendations for this (from a friend's work colleagues). Doesn't make Trip Advisor less pinch-of-salt requiring obviously.

i went to maison du steak last weekend for the first time. Highly recommended and very good value.

I've been meaning to try out that fusion place you mention foolscap.

A house made of meat, what a thought.

I'm sure that I've read at least bad one sci fi novel in which things are genetically modified to grow into building shaped objects so people can live in them. I don't think the issues of how one feeds a large building shaped organism or why it was cheaper than using bricks was addressed.

Well they grew the Gherkin, and that looks just fine
