I'm not 100% sure, because I haven't caught one in a situation where I was able to compare to a photograph, but I think they're Gastrophysa viridula, incidentally.

The worst thing about the Beatles is that if you don't like them then no one really believes you. There are quite a few songs which never die, you hear the wretched things over and over again until you die, and if you don't like them then tough. Quite a few of these are by The Beatles.
Personally I don't mind them but anyone who hates the Beatles has my sympathies.

Like I said, if you say that you don't like them then everyone just assumes that you're making some kind of punk rock statement and doesn't believe you. I don't mind them myself but I'm sure that a few people must genuinely dislike them. Maybe.

It's one of those statements that tells you a lot about the person making it and nothing about the Beatles.
A bit like 'Shakespeare is boring' or 'Classical music is rubbish'.

According to that bastion of truthful reporting, the CEN, they're actually Meligethes aeneus.
Of course that doesn't make them any less annoying.
