Loft Conversion

Can anyone help me with a reliable firm to do a loft conversion? We are in the Cambridgeshire area.

What are you converting your loft into?

Just another bedroom

Oh how tiresome to have just another bedroom.

What one with those foam trees and those little model people.....
Always wanted one of those.
Why not go for it Zinia? You could play authentic sound effects of the 10.21 from Euston....

I think everyone has always wanted a train set in their loft. I know I have.

I hope a lovely old house is not going to have it's roof vandalised with some weirdly shaped, non-symmetrical alteration. Cycled past a few of those in Cambridge today.

I 'd love a loft conversion though I think the people in the first floor flat above me might get upset about it :-)
My dad did used to keep a train set in the loft. It was a labour of love for many years and was a model of part of the Cambridge to Haverhill line. All the track was handmade and every year the temperature changes up there would make all the soldered rails ping off and he would have to redo it all. He made most of the buildings out of card himself as well, it was never anywhere near finished and sadly he binned most of it when they sold the house, but I don't think he wanted it finished...he would have had nothing to potter at when weather was no good for gardening.

I like it when people have big projects that never get finished and the intention is the doing rather than the completion. My favorite is when people own cars that never go anywhere at all, they spend the entire time standing on bricks in someone's front garden being worked on at weekends.

I was at my dad's today. He showed me a car that he bought in 1964 and last drove in 1972. For the last twenty years it has lived inside a specially made chipboard sarcophagus in a barn.

It doesn't go.

My boy stays in the loft, in a whicker basket.

When I have a home with a garden I want to have a garden railway.

I'll leave enough space in the middle for DJOMG to lie prostrate to the sun.

Do they still have the outdoor railway at the Cambridge Blue?

Not for some time now....it went when they put the astro-turf down.
