Definition of irony #2: when lunch finishes at the said conference, watching the caterers carting tons of uneaten food out with them.

A few years ago my employer held a workshop on "sustainable practices in the workplace" at which the entire directorate of several hundred people were forced to attend.
They held it at Wood Green Animal shelter, to which was impossible to get to via public transport so every single person had to drive there.

I must admit it was a fairly good team building exercises finding someone to share a lift with.

I went to a conference about 80 miles from where I normally work, where the company i work for congratulated its self on how green it was. The event was attended by about 100 people who all drove there.
