Snow

I am fucking dreading it.

I dunno, I usually quite enjoy seeing the entire pathetic country collapse to a standstill as soon as we get half an inch of snow on the ground. Unless I have to get a train or anything.

Is this snow in Cambridge? Should we be banning bigmal for being outside Cambridge if he's stuck in snow, and all the snow is up north?

Have you seen any of those Russia driving youtube videos? At least half of all incidents are directly related to snow. What you don't see much of is anyone trying to get around by bike on snow, so I'd rather avoid it, the only place I could get to unaffected is work, and every other fucker who lives a bit further out or out of town will claim the roads are blocked!

Snow is great.

If you disagree, you are clearly wrong, and should go and live in the desert.

I too have that thing of being the only one who makes it to work whenever there is a tiny bit of snow because everyone else lives in the middle of nowhere.

I take comfort in thinking that they are all going to starve to death in their tiny unsustainable villages when the apocaplyse comes. Whereas I live in town and will have access to enough supermarkets to loot to keep me going for months.

I too think that snow is great. My favourite thing about it is that everyone becomes all chatty and friendly whenever it happens. It's such a shame that it only happens for about two days a year.

It's not particularly the snow I dislike, more that walking becomes the only method of transport. I've walked for an hour and back to the gym and to get shopping. I've also done some of this on crutches. It's different from growing up, getting off school, going sledging, snow men and snow ball fights. One of the only times I got sent to the headmaster at primary school was a snow ball fight.

The one and only time I got sent to the headmaster was when I was in the lunch queue and one of the dinnerladies said, loudly, in front of the whole queue, "Wouldn't school be lovely without children?". I said, even louder, in front of her, "wouldn't school be lovely without DINNERLADIES?"

She sent me to the headmaster! I still think that was grossly unfair.

i remember one assembly the headmaster asking us to "please don't throw snowballs at the lollipop man"

hadn't even occurred to us until then :)

We used to throw snowballs at buses after school, then we hit on a brilliant idea, we didnae throw anything until
the driver opened the doors then we really pelted him.
One day we saw this old fashioned three wheel disabled carriage was coming down the road, God we pelted the poor bloke so badly he nearly flipped over, oh the joy.
