"Ancient machine" discovered in Russia

A 400 million year old machine, if you believe A, the sketchy story; B, the dating; C, they're not actually the fossils of a cog-shaped crustacean we've not previously discovered.

They kind of look like a type of Ammonite.

This one gives a similar effect: http://home.earthlink.net/~gesuchan/Fossil/Baculite_Mesa_040522/DSCN02...

Personally, I think they're imprints of ammonite fossils that weathered away; but since I'm not a palaeontologist I'll be keeping an eye out for further details in the hope the fossils are seen by someone who knows what they're talking about. What I definitely don't think it is is a 400 million year old machine, especially one created by aliens - because I reckon that any alien capable of travelling in space would probably wear a digital watch or rely on its smartphone.
