Hang on, you got married, but bt's gig was the highlight of the year? Good man.

Published by arthurCRS at 9:34am on Fri 2nd December 2011.

I did that deliberately. I'm glad someone noticed. ;) My wedding was lovely and I had a great day but no one wants to hear me go on about it. It's like when someone has a baby, assumes that everyone wants to see the photos and then brings the screaming thing into work.

Which isn't necessarily a compliment.
Twat of the Year: The entire executive boards of Italian shoe manufacturer Geox and Belgian/Italian/Spanish/French builders' merchants BigMat, Jonathan Vaughters and whoever it is that lives round here and revs up their car at 2am, but isn't greenboombox.

Can't answer too many of the music ones as I've not seen much live music this year, so there are gaps.

Event of the Year: Getting my missing cat back after a few weeks of agony.
Disappointment of the Year: The riots in London and elsewhere, and the tangible sense that objectionable politicians were rubbing their hands in delight. The glee surrounding exemplary sentencing afterwards. The inevitable and continuing erosion of right to protest that follows.
WANner of the Year: troll and ed___ in a homoerotic tangle, being cheered on from the sidelines by BB. HOTTTTT.
Twat of the Year: George Osborne
Film of the Year: Not seen many new films that I'd recommend, but Source Code was a good romp. Film I liked best (but was out in 2010) was L'Illusioniste.
Tv Show of the Year: Forbrydelsen I and II.
Word of the Year: Skinnydip.
Hero of the Year: I've enjoyed Tom Watson MP's efforts in the select committees.
Game of the Year: Have to split my vote here between Edler Scrolls 5: Skyrim and the new Zelda game, as they're both incredibly perfect in very different ways.
Book of the Year: If it's one you've read this year, probably Revelation Space - Alastair Reynolds. Else if it has to be published in 2011, I guess Caitlin Moran's book, which was lovely. I don't read very many just-published books.

Published by arthurCRS at 12:58pm on Mon 19th December 2011.

mon dieu. splatts would be sent completely over the edge if he saw how many votes i had (if he hasn't already gone over, which i suspect he has).

oh and i wouldn't be cheering, i would be videoing and uploading to make lots of homo-erotic cash :)
