Is supergran still alive?

Deadoraliveinfo.com hasn't heard of her, so they're no help. Googling "Gudrun Ure dead" "...dies" or "...died" only really links to the didtheydie site and a few Yahoo Answers type things which are all inconclusive.

So, I tried to track down her agent. While she seems to have been in Casualty relatively recently, I can't find any details of a current agent. So, I suspect she's still alive but has either decided to retire or is poor health and can't work anymore - she'd be 85, so either is possible.

I once saw her walking along the sea front at Cullercoats near Whitley Bay, in full costume, while it was being filmed there.

This isn't interesting and does not shed any light on her current life/death status, but it is a fact and facts are very important in this vicious culture of mendacity in which we live.

Are you sure it was being filmed and she wasn't out solving crimes and doing other supergran stuff?

My parents had a thing about people speaking "properly" in the 80's so I was never allowed to watch Supergran. Ditto Jonny Briggs, Jossey's Giants and Grange Hill. I had to make do with the Really Wild Show and T Bag.

Actually, I don't remember ever seeing Supergran; though my childhood friend Stinky Jamie talked about it rather a lot. I didn't watch much television really - I had a bike and there was always far more interesting stuff going on in the forest. You know the sort of stuff: dead rabbits, catapults, imaginary wolves, dumped porn mags, the Witch's House, flashers and suchlike.

Were the porn mags slightly singed at the edges? They tend to be in forests.

Dunno - never looked that closely. You get the lurgies if you look at nudy ladies.
