Herman Hauser brushed past me in a corridor once - as he hurried away from some investment opportunity or other that wasn't to his liking.

I'd quite like to see this.

Alexander Armstrong as Sinclair looks like he's got a frontal-lobe expansion pack under his baldcap (prone to overheating and held in with glue presumably).

I went to a house party in Clive Sinclair`s house in Cambridge organized by his sixth form age son at the time and a 20k ornament was tea-leafed.

Thought it was quite amusing, although amazingly one-sided, particularly as I've never heard any of the people who worked for Chris Curry say nice things about him

And having listened to a talk by one of the characters in the day, it was quite strange to see an actor playing a thirty year younger version of him on tv in the evening.

Daggg was this in Lensfield Road? I also went to a party house organised by Sinclair junior.... not that I can remember anything about it.

i didn't realise that the sinclair building at apu was the sinclair building.

I don't think I really knew that Acorn and Sinclair were that connected before. I remember now I was interviewed by Sophie (then Roger) Wilson at element14 (another spin-off of Acorn that wasn't ARM) in the old Acorn building on Newmarket Road.

The real Sophie made a brief appearance in the film, I think?

I worked at one of the post-Acorn companies for a bit. It began with an X and overlooked Marshall's. Funny place.

I thought the Sinclair building was in St Ives?

I'll have a look if I see it again. The imdb entry doesn't seem to know who the main characters should even be (Sinclair and Curry as additional cast) so that wasn't much use.

I need to watch again to make sure, but I thought she was the pub landlady.

No at Madingley rd. I do remember vaguely the son Crispin living at Lensfield rd. Must have moved at that time then had a party 83/84.

Or Sinclair had 2 properties.

Crispin ... that was his name! Was there a daughter as well? Madingley Road is ringing a bell now you come to mention it ...

Published by Old Rocker at 12:25pm on Fri 9th October 2009.

I remember hearing about a party at the Madingley Road house. Members of a certain Cambridge punk band allegedly trashed the place. DR R may have more details...

Not sure about daughter. But I think Crispin had a younger brother.
