takeaway fail
Ordered a curry about 25 minutes ago, in the knowledge that the other half would be home with cash in about 30 minutes. Curry house said they'd be 30-40 minutes, but guess who turned up first! Cue a rather embarrassed me asking if the delivery bloke wanted to wait or if we could drop the money round tomorrow. He opted to go away and take the curry with him :-(

They did return the food when I rang them to say the boys with the money had arrived. It was exceedingly embarrassing for me though, especially as I'd timed it all so precisely to avoid such a mishap.

my bloke introduced me to the idea of the emergency £20 note. It is pinned to a cork board & is for taxi/takeaway/other emergencies. If used, it must be replaced within a day. Used it loads of times. V-handy.
