Why didn't the little girl called Talula Does The Hula From Hawaii just be known as Talula rather than K?

Anyway, we're fighting over baby names. He doesn't like what I like but I'll win 'tho :oP We only agreed on one girls name ages ago but now I'm going off it.

I've got the same problem T. I've threatened to go on my own to register the baby so I get my own way!

Nicole Kidman's daughter is called Sunday Rose. Bit close to roast for safety I think.

Well congratulations! You're two months before me 'cos I'm due on Boxing Day. Do you know the sex yet? We find out on August 10th and it's fingers crossed it's another boy.

They couldn't tell at my last scan - legs crossed and hiding in an awkward position. I've got another scan on August 16th so hopefully they'll be able to tell me then. I'm hoping for another girl.

I knew someone with the surname Hunt who was adamant she was going to call her baby Jake. It took some persuading but eventually she realised it was probably not a great idea.

Most of those names are better than "DAVE".

I did my work experience in the Electoral Registration Dept. at the Guildhall and there are quite a lot of Micky Mouse and Donald Duck type names in Cambridge. I queried them but the Returning Officer had previously checked them all out and they were genuine. Some evil parents around!

My dearest other half wanted to call our son Jonjo oneill, after some jockey. I think he was joking.

Last Sept I was working in a Primary school in a posh part of Hertfordshire. AS I walked through the cloakroom I glanced at the names above the pegs: Rebecca, Jonathan, Ella, George...and Lucifer. Blimey.

Seriously? I know it means a few other things... Morning Star, a type of match (?) but surely Lucifer has fairly universal connotations? He'll just have to ensure he becomes a black metal frontman.

The name Lucifer means 'light bearer'.

I went to school with a girl called 'Summer Make-Peace'

Seriously, Arthur. I've always known that matches were refered at as lucifers - light-bearers, indeed - but I'd imagine most people would think of the Prince of Darkness connotation first. It's a tough name with which to go through life.
