Ive Had A Moss Moment

Yes indeed Ive had one and its a doozey :)

I was being asked to alter a 'page of information', to expunge from it what was described by the other half of my conversation as an email address when it was quite obviously a URL and not and email address . . .

It took all my will power to not blurt out Moss styley . . . 'its a URL not an email address, ARE YOU FROM THE PAST!'

But they look different . . . when you look at them . . . with your eyes!

Example

URL:
www.badgerareus.co.uk

email address:
squirrels@theywatchfromthebushes.com

see!

I'm willing to reserve judgement on this dude *if* the URL was quoted on the page without the www in front of it. Without that its not quite as obvious, and I would be willing to forgive.

Actually I can now see why the non-techy may have thought that it was an email rather than a URL. A mixture of it being positioned where you'd expect to find an email addy/telephone number and the more likely confusing fact that its got the persons name in it.
