Barclays

Wankers! They carry no foreign money except limited quantities of Euro's and US Dollars. I know thats what most people probably want etc but now I have to get ripped off at the airport.

And they have changed the online banking login. Very confusing now.

This the new-fangled PIN sentry device? I don't have one yet - but do know it is going to screw up online banking for me, I don't want to have to carry around a little calculator thingy just so I can log on to see howmuch money I haven't got... :(

Just use a cash machine when you get where your going. They tend to have the best rates of conversion.

Eeek, what new fangled Pin Sentry device? I hope this is something that works well with Linux, as I use online banking with Barclays a lot.

I'm off to Prague this weekend, should be fun! will try Post Office as the injunction stops me from going into M&S ladies underwear dept.....

The PINSentry is a little calculator-like device. You put your bank card in it and type in you PIN, it then gives you an 8(?) digit response to put in the website form instead of your password. The devices are all the same, which is good, so if you get two you can have one at home and one at work etc..

However, I think it sucks - not only do you need one of these with you to do banking, but you also need your cards with you...

it is a pain, but it's pretty well-known as being more secure, isn't it? I know we've had that kind of device in Switzerland for a good 5-6 years now. Don't tend to check my banking anywhere but at home so it isn't so bad.
