Emma Pollock - Wed 5th Dec

I don't know how to do that exciting Event Chat thang, but I was so excited I had to post anyway.

Emma Pollock (ex-Delagdos) is playing the Graduate on Wed 5th Dec.

I didn't even know she had a solo album out, but she has, so I've just ordered it from Amazon. Anyone heard it? any good?

Also, has anyone seen her solo before? Does she do any delgados tunes? Would be great if she did one or two, but I'm going anyway! Ticket bought.

Saw her at Truck, she only did songs off her new album so I suggest everyone who is going purchases it because a) it really is good and b) knowing the songs will make the live experience many times better. I'm guessing for a full set she might slip a Delgados tune in there though.

Also, I hear she has a really good support band for this gig...

I've not seen her solo, but the album is great. Like Delgados, obviously, but with only her singing.

Yay live show in Cambridge. That'll save the expense of travelling to London.

Did she mention she's quitting the PRK so we can tour the States with Machine Head?

Yeah, she mentioned it. I disposed of the body pretty efficiently. Don't think they'll be able to prove anything beyond reasonable doubt so things should be OK. All the spoons have been sent to Uri Geller, you don't have to think about them again either.
