i will be running, coughing, walking, running again, spluttering, walking, stopping, running, gasping, walking, running on Sunday...

Did you put any training in Rob? I just got talked into it at work - have done no preparation at all. Bit worrying coz everyone else here is a) a man b) exercise obsesses c) highly competitive.

not a lot of training really, i meant to when i signed up but i lost the will to after a while lol.

ive done a bit of running on a tread mill, i can run/jog for a solid 20 minutes so that should get me through.

its only for fun anyway, as long as i get round ill be happy

I saw lots of people with medals from this on Sunday - but what was it exactly?

its a charity relay through cambridge.

400 teams, 6 people per team, each doing a 2 mile circuit of cambridge all in the name of charity. entrants range from the university teams to normal companies to normal people just wanting to do their bit for charity.

i believe it raises a load of money. it was quite good fun, altho im not renowned for my long distance running ability

Ah that sounds great :) what was the route

Published by Three Headed Lizard at 2:06pm on Mon 24th September 2007.

it started at the backs, then went up thru the town, not quite up the market square, then back through one of the colleges back to the backs.

forgive me im not a local cambridge lad, i live in the fens, just happen to frequent cambridge.... went to the other cambridge uni :P

It sounds like a good thing, is it on every year? Never heard of it before. My knowledge of the colleges is shockingly bad ... and I was born in Mill Road maternity ... i'm about to move to within 1 mile of my birthplace. That makes me feel like the resident of a Texan hick town .. at least BooBoo's fine Norfolk blood will prevent our potential accidently children from having three heads.

Was good! I hadn't run for about 10 years... Has anyone found one of my lungs on their way?
