Hunt for a Red shirt

I need to buy a red shirt in Cambridge - where to go? Any ideas? I guess suit shops and the big stores just have those faded gay pastel choices... dead lemon, poached salmon pink, white (ugh)... any ideas?

Try the charity shops along burleigh street?

Thank you... that red shirt would be perfect. I shall summon up the courage to visit these shops next week. I don't even know where these shops are... Topman... is that next to Boots? Petty Cury side? Last time I went there it was but that was 8 years ago and it was upstairs ... or was that the old Next?

Get a white cotton shirt and dye it red. they sell dyes in Robert Sayle's amazing habadashery department. The ones you put in a washing machine make it come out really even all over and also it won't turn your washing red for all eternity (trust me, I've dyed many things).

I've always been a bit dubious about dying clothes in the washing machine. I have some stuff that is faded black so I figured if I dyed it black it would restore it's blackness... would that work?

I have dyed a lot of clothes using said dye from said (albeit oldstore location) habadashery (what a word)... a lot of cotton white shirts have nylon stitching so it can get a bit weird... you know, you dye 5 things and 2 look good and the others are like "I've just been dyed - can't you tell?"

Dying faded black clothes "brand new black" works.

I need a red beret too...

I have a felt bright red beret with a peak, it not quite a baker boy. You can borrow it but i think you'll look well daft.

I've got a Liverbirds Nery's Hughes oversized beret with a peak.. well, its my mom's - I did wear it to a fancy dress party once when I went as Andy Warhol... it is more than a little rampantly gay... wedding is in Kings Lynn... only gay relationships there are father and son and family dog.
