Tomato question for the WAN chefs

What exactly is a SunBlush tomato? Is it the same as a sun-dried one? Or, indeed a mi-cuit one?

Something to be avoided I expect.

Sun-dried tomatoes are a faddish monstrosity that taste foul and have the texture of shoe leather. Why they've become so popular is a mystery.

Sundried toms are the work of the gods!

I think sun blushed are a bit of marketing by a drunken farmer who left his toms out in the sun too long.

well "mi-cuit" in french literally means "half-cooked" or "half-baked" (haha). So I wasn't sure. Thanks for all the answers

i've found that leaving a jar of sun-dried tomatoes in oil in the fridge (as the jar tells you to) makes the oil solidify into a weird buttery-ghee-like substance. Kinda disgusting; I guess they're just covering their backs.

and on the subject of tomatoes, I just found the best knife, lakeland's tomato knife. Tiny serrations so as to never squish the tomato plus a hand edge to transfer the slices, seeds and all to your sandwich/salad plate.

I am a sucker for cookery gadgets, but was surprised to find this one actually worth it.

(and no I don't work for lakeland or it's PR firm)

Oh, the garlic card works then? I have to be very restrained if I go into Lakeland, I'm such a geek for cookery kit.

I love sun dried tomatos, sun blushed do taste better though, instead of sun dried, they are just sun...er...blushed.

Pretty obvious really guys....jeez.

I eat loads of oil covered olives, tomatos etc....the oils nice for your salads too, or cooking with, drizzel over pasta etc...use the oil, full of flavour.
