Monday morning misery

It's a Monday morning and I'm feeling utterly miserable. Anybody out there to cheer me up? Today feels like it is going to very long indeed...... :(

Monday morning is the longest, worst point of the week, therefore every point from now on is only going to be a) better and b) closer to the weekend!

You've posted what I was going to post! I am so fed up, I feel a bit like crying and very emotional. I don't think that anybody else cares much that I was in hospital on Friday and I've really made an effort to come in today. I might just go home and see if anyone notices ;(

LMQ, the best way to cheer up is a good laugh at the expense of someone who is worse off than you. Me, in this instance. I was half way to work and got a call from the school - I'm now back home looking after a sick child, and facing the prospect of cramming 5 days' work (already an excessive workload) into 4 days.

Chin up, love.

Yep I'm at work. Been up since 5:30 and already had a good cry ... just feeling so miserable! Plus I was off most of last week so have lots of work to catch up on, and am clearly not in the best mind to do it :(

It's not a good Monday morning for me either... hangover weekend has caught up with me. Was violently ill in the night and slept on the couch. Have got red dots all over my face as blood vessels have exploded. I have an eye infection too. I shaved a weeks stubble off last night and have a shaving rash and bit zit on my neck... I look like death warmed over.

I feel a little worse...

This morning has been super-busy and lots of hassles... all sorted now... he says.

I wish I was still asleep and oblivious to this Monday morning crapfest.

on monday mornings thandor reflects that dido hasn't released anything in several years, this he appreciates.

I was also giving thanks for that just yesterday when "White Flag" came on in the cafe I was in.

*sympathy* for miserable people :( I'm happy though cos I'm going on holiday tomorrow! I suggest everyone book one to cheer themselves up ;) and with that I shall leave this thread before I get lynched!

I'm having a weird one - 75% (about 80 people) of my company was made redundant a couple of weeks ago and left last Friday (big big party). Just a handful of us left to deal with the fallout - very very difficult days ahead!

I have just found a crayfish sandwich on my desk... it may be a treat, it may be a trap.

There's nothing like coming back to work to bring you back to reality!! I've got a load of personnel stuff to sort out - my assistant took another day of sick with stomach pains (handy on a Friday afternoon) and I have little empathy at the moment since I feel like I've crawled in this morning. Bourn didn't say when I could go back to work, just when I felt ready but I'm so fuckin tired, I could sleep standing up. I could be like this for days!

How are you doing now? I hate to think of anyone being upset. Were you away last week on hols or something - it's horrible coming back from them sometimes isn't it?

Further to my post at 9.49, I have just mopped up the first (and hopefully last) load of vomit from the living room floor. Was just going to have some lunch as well. Might leave it until the smell dies down a bit.

Cover the whole area in Bicarbonate Of Soda - sorts the smell out pre cleaning!

Published by Dr Rhythm at 1:21pm on Mon 17th September 2007.

Yes, bicarb is always good for odours - however, fortunately it's a wooden floor so it was a straightforward mopping job.

Sorry to hear of illness in the family. I started going down with something on Friday night (just in time for the weekend). I thought it was self inflicted due to a cooking attempt earlier in the week - but it looks like I may have passed it on to people we were visiting on Saturday night.

I blame the government.

Just took some days off work and chilled out then went to visit parents, was getting too annoyed with work so needed some time off! But then having an inbox full of emails to sort through only added to my misery this morning! This working lark really sucks sometimes :/
