ignoring
Been here a while and am still not sure what it entalis and what the advantage would be,
do you not see their posts or does it just relate to personal messages?
(not that i'm thinking of ignoring anyone or thankfully being ignored by anyone else)

It's for if someone is seriously getting on your nerves. It would just, like Katemac said, mean that you don't see *any* of their posts, or, I think, receive any PMs from them.

Yes, they can't PM you either - the box doesn't show up for them on your profile page.
