Huzzah! It is nice artwork, although I won't be able to make it down, annoyingly.

Looking forward to this, England are playing live - not interested, Heroes on at 9pm - totally interested but we still have a VCR so problem solved, I'm skint - but have enough for entrance and a beer, I don't know anyone who is going - I can play the loner.

Yes, this should be good.

Age of equality bitch - you pay your own way. You went and spent all of your money on groceries- silly mare.

Joke (to avoid serious rant sent to my works inbox telling me how selfish and horrible I am - yawn).

Was listening to the Dartz album in the pub last night, it's really good. Shame I'm going to miss this but I think Prince is worth missing it for.

Tell Nick he's a big gay prawn... and that he should eat more salt the foul-tongued slugmonkey.

He saw me Saturday afternoon just as my hangover kicked in... his greeting words were "Oh dear, DS looks like ababoonsass today".

A slugmonkey is like a fur-less sloth with slime trails.

The show last night was amazing. Some friends turned up who I wouldn't have expected to and it was nice and busy. The Tupelov Ghost opened at such a volume... ear-splitting but enjoyable, in fact I have to say that is the best I have seen/heard them... really impressive. Tellison were just perfect, they didn't put a foot wrong, at certain times it felt just like the Get Up Kids had never washed out and faded away. One of the best bands I have seen this year. Dartz! were superb, just what I was hoping for, drummer is incredible and they were a lot of fun.
People there seemed really chilled and friendly, maybe it was just my good vibe, but people smiled at each other, said sorry if they bumped into you. It was a real pleasure to be part of such an awesome show. It goes into my top 10 Portland gigs... just outside the top 5 behind APPLESEED CAST/CURSIVE, BLUETIP, THE LEIF ERICSSON, KEVIN SECONDS, MILLOY. It really was that good. And again, the crowd were one of the best I've witnessed at that venue (aside from my own gigs as they always attract top eggs!!).

TELLISON - I can see them becoming very popular.

What a way to spend a Wednesday night... thank you to promoter people and the bands... a job well done and then some.

Yeah, you looked shattered... that old 9-5 (and then some) will take some time to get used to... there goes the easy life!

I concur, Tellison were the get up kids when they were good! That was ace! Wasn't so hot on Dartz, but Tellison were definitely worth the watch, Tupolev Ghost need to get someone to do sound for them, as the other bands sounded great but TTG were suffering from the soundman being sat behind the drums for them!

Published by ianscanlon at 8:54am on Thu 13th September 2007.

Tellison were having fun... it's the best thing a band can do on stage to win the night... have fun, smile, interact and make it personal. Tellison did just that... a perfect set... I think a drunk Ashley the Mole went to harass them to play one of his Ciara Fests!! So good.

Thanks for having us play Alex, you're a great promoter and it was a pleasure to support the others. Also cheers to everyone for the kind words - agreed that we were too loud, but on stage I couldn't hear much else other than bass and vocals so its tough to know quite what the levels are.

DS, we'd love to play one of your punk shows (think that is more our audience really) so if you ever have a slot free we'd be well up for helping out.

And, yes, Tellison were great.

I loved the opening "LOUD" - that was pure sonic assault. And the song with dual drums is sweet as.

I am not really doing any gigs as such... got KEITH BURTON, VANILLA POD acoustic, SOUTHPORT plus 1 in December.... then got my BLACK FLAG covers band playing on the 26th January... my birthday show... just going to get 3 hardcore covers bands...may evne get MINER THREAT from Wales!! I may book some shows after that... not sure... but remind me to put your name forward for some out of town gigs to some friends... I think we discussed this before in brief... just been a little chaotic over recent times and so many of my "good intentions" have become failed and forgotten "oh shit I forgot completely's".

I thought the line up last night was perfect.
