More odd Firefox stuff happening

So, I've just "upgraded" to Windows Live Hotmail, which I only seemed to be able to do in Internet Explorer, not in Firefox. Whenever I try to go to my hotmail now, in Firefox, I get this message:

The page isn't redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

I've NOT got anything untoward going on, cookie-wise, so am I right in assuming that it's effing Microsoft bullying me into using IE instead of Mozilla? Irritating in the extreme!

Very odd. My firefox is just being a bit of a bastard today, it seems.

I got transfered to windows live a while ago and use IE at work and Firefox at home - not had any problems with either until yesterday when Firefox didn't want to open hotmail, stupid thing.

I think i heard about something like this the other day... i think if you try uninstalling firefox and then installing it again it should work.

You'll probably want to save your bookmarks somewhere first though! (bookmarks>organise bookmarks>file>export) and then import them again into your new one

I had that problem when I first went on to Live Hotmail. Cleared up by itself after restart.

Thanks James and DJ. I shall do my usual "ignore it for a while and hope it rights itself" thing, and failing that will try JA's tip.
