Kings College, London

I'm going to a gig there on Friday but which one is it? There seems to be lots.

Has anyone been? Is it easy to find? Even for a Jazz?

If it's speical enough to take you away from Church of Noise, I guess this is a show with your teenemo band Plain White Takota's Parade of Romance????

I've been there plenty of times for club nights and gigs, saw scarfo there many years ago cos tim cedar was playing guitar with them, it's just off the strand you can walk there from charing cross station (just follow the local maps bit it's marked on them). I think it's been done up again recently.. they periodically try and get it going as a venue and have a bunch of gigs there.. but it's up loads of stairs so people can't be arsed!

Stairs? Fuck that, Church of Noise it is then.

Its right on the river Thames (North side). Best catch tube to Charing Cross the walk eastbound down the strand for half a mile then turn right down Surrey street and head towards the river. the entrance is down the bottom of the road on the right.

heres the address -
Macadam Building, Surrey St, London WC2R 2NS

Temple is the nearest tube.

Is it near the HMS President? I've seen some corking gigs on that.

Certainly is - never been to a gig on the President but I have been very very drunk there - always odd being pissed on a boat!

Definately.

I always seem to be horrendously drunk there too. Saw The Offspring do a secret show there and managed to blag aftershow and free booze. After partying all night with the staff from Sony and a bottle of poppers (classy) I got the train home only to fall asleep, wake up and get off the last train home in Hatfield. It was November and I didn't have a coat. It was not nice. or warm.

So just to reiterate to my small mind, I get off at Temple turn left and it's between there and the President?

I still have no idea how you managed to get off the train without me noticing, lol. I slept really well that night, in a bed all on my own.

I got the call that night I remember!
"D, I'm stuck in Hatfield"

"Is it cold?"

"It's freezing and the next train is 4 hours"

"Try and get some sleep then, G'nite!"

Just round the corner from Temple tube, easy to find, the college is huge.
