Door stripping doors!
Bland subject i know!
Anyone know of any door dipping places in Cambs?
I live in March and i have odd sized doors that i cant seem to replace in any of the reclamation centres.... so door dipping is my final hope!
Any local knowledge out there

I think that it is becoming less common now with government legislation, mainly to do with the fact that old door paint contains a lot of lead, and the disposal of this is very hard.

I think it's now case of a hot air gun and some elbow grease.

the paint stripper/heat gun and elbow grease option works, but it's hard work and takes forever! It took us days to do just one door (admittedly it was victorian and I think had all 100 years' worth of paint still on it!) so if Pasty's got more than one door to do, I'd go for dipping if you can find anywhere!

I did a thread on this about 2 weeks ago. There's nothing in Cambridge that I know of now. Going to try a place out in Chatteris. Check www.yell.com for listings.

Hi, apologies for dragging up an old thread but I was googling for door stripping services and this thread came up!
I'm looking to get some doors done and wondered if anyone has actually used Adam's Timber Stripping and can recommend them please?
