A charming local pub just off Mill Road that's still the way pubs used to be - friendly, welcoming and a tiny bit old-fashioned. At the front, there's a bar that's split into two rooms, the smaller one being no-smoking at lunchtimes. At the back there's another large room with a pool table. Serves great beer and there's traditional pub food at lunchtimes. On Sundays, a terrific jazz combo perform all the old jazz standards and on Mondays there's a quiz. Get in early on both nights because it tends to be even more crowded than normal.
