International Sculpture Exhibition At Great St Mary’s Church
Five striking, contemporary works by renowned Romanian sculptor Liviu Mocan are on display outside Great St Mary’s Church, Cambridge from 23rd July 2018 to December, daily 9am – 5pm.
Entitled Archetypes, the free-to-view installation is designed to spark a conversation about history, faith, art and technology.
The magnificent sculptures range in height from 1.3m to an impressive 5.4m, with the smallest weighing 200kg and the largest over one tonne:
All of the sculptures are made from brass, with Mocan combining computer-assisted design, 3D printing, laser and water jet cutting, and the latest welding techniques to craft his designs.
