Spotlight on Vital Communities
Thu 21 October

Following the success of last year’s screening, this event promises to engage and inspire! Vital Communities is a unique action research study which took place in ten diverse communities across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough from 2005-2010. Through a vibrant creative programme (dance, drama, film, literature, music, visual art) the project investigated the impacts of taking part in the arts. Filmed by Dominique Chadwick, Spotlight is an in-depth film analysis of the workings and effects of Vital Communities upon numerous children, families and community members in four specific locations: Peterborough, Sutton, Trumpington and Wisbech St Mary. Generously supported by the Cambridge Film Trust, the Cambridgeshire Film Consortium and the Arts Picturehouse Cinema, this event includes launch of final research report, Phase 2 film screening, Q + A and shared refreshments.
