WOMEN are being encouraged to sign up to a new course to help them stay safe in their cars.
The course is being run by Andy’s Ark- a charity which aims to help disabled and disadvantaged people off benefits and into meaningful employment- and will be held on six consecutive Saturdays from 9 October, from1pm to 3pm, in Bar Hill.
Andy Kent, who is the charity’s founder, said: “Many women don’t know what they need to do to keep themselves safe in their cars over the winter months. This course, which is designed to be fun and informal, will show you how to check your oil levels, windscreen wiper fluid, tyre pressures, among many other essential pieces of mechanical knowledge.
“Don’t panic if technical details aren’t your thing, we will keep it easy! And best of all, by signing up we offer you a complementary six month membership of the charity which includes benefits such as 5 per cent off all servicing and MOTs at Andy’s Kars.”
