Custard Comedy at Comberton Leisure is back with a bang after the summer holidays and is delighted to present John Gordillo as its first headliner of the new season.
The comedy night, which also features Noel James, rising star Jonathan Elston and Comberton’s favourite compere Henry Paker, takes place at 8.30pm on September 17th at Comberton Leisure, next to the village college.
John Gordillo is, according to the Evening Standard, “One of our finest stand ups.” By turns intellectual, heartfelt and passionate, John’s “A grown-up comic who combines emotional intimacy with high-quality gags.” The Guardian.
Chief support for John on the 17th is supplied by Noel James. James is part gag merchant, part absurdist, part surreal comic. He’s also completely funny. "Stands out like a droll giant in a comedy land of trite dwarfs" - The Independent.
The line up is completed by Jonathan Elston. Still only in his early twenties, Jonathan has been gigging since his teens and is one of the most sought after young acts working the circuit. See him now, before he hits the big time.
As always, Henry Paker is the glue holding the night together. Comberton’s regular compere and a huge audience favourite, he’s currently basking in the glory of a 4 star Edinburgh review.
