This is a course of six evenings with a day workshop at the end. This course can be followed by a further 6 week level 2 course.

This course gives a thorough grounding in two basic Buddhist meditation practices: the Mindfulness of Breathing and the Development of Loving Kindness.

The classes will combine periods of instruction, discussion and practice. Most people find the support and friendship of others on the course is an important aspect.

Home practice is an important element of the course, and each participant is encouraged to practise at home for 30 minutes per day, at least 4 days per week, during the course.

The price includes the 6 evenings, plus the day workshop, 2 CDs and handouts.

No interest in Buddhism or prior experience of meditation is required.
