Celebrating making it to ten years spent in each others pockets..... The dysfunctional collective that is Sunday Driver invite you to come and eat cake, play games and lose yourself quite completely.
Since we formed in 2001 we've gone from a confused, slightly annoying folk/alt four piece - to a nicely textured seven piece ensemble. Somewhere along the way, we worked out how to create the music we wanted to be playing during our seminal years at the Boatrace's many acoustic nights.
Sunday Driver’s live shows are not to be missed, with highlights of 2009 including performances at the Cambridge Folk Festival, London’s world famous Café de Paris, Cambridge University’s 800th Anniversary Party, the Asylum (the UK’s first ever Steampunk festival) and a headline slot at the Inselsommer Festival in Germany. Gigs this year include Sunrise Festival, the Secret Garden Party and the first Cambridge Asian Mela (Cambridge Big Day Out).
We'll be collecting for a charity at the gig, but entry is free.
The Portland is our spiritual home and we're very pleased it's still here to host our birthday!
