Bad Timing have been bringing electronics, noise, experimental, lofi, DIY, weird pop and random other music to Cambridge since November 2001.
We celebrate with a line-up of world class noise/improv/drone/rock from USA, Berlin and London. Hair Police, the long-term project of Mike Connelly, also of Wolf Eyes, make a rare visit to the UK. Family Battlesnake and Temperatures make long-overdue Cambridge debuts.
HAIR POLICE
(Harbinger Sound, Gods of Tundra, Hospital Productions)
Uncompromising industrial, psychedelic noise rock overlords, Hair Police famously toured the U.S with Sonic Youth, have played ATP, headlined No Fun Festival on numerous occasions. A tour LP will be available in a limited edition of 100. It is entitled "Stay in Bodies" and will be released by Harbinger Sound with a killer cover etching by Nate Young who also created the tour poster image.
'HAIR POLICE work with the traditional rock trinity of guitar, bass and drums, as well as chewed electronics, reworked tape and oscillators. The trio from Lexington, Kentucky feature Mike Connelly of Wolf Eyes and build a demonic wall of sound straddling the boundary between thrash metal and trippy industrial noise. The band have been spewing out a huge back catalogue for legendary labels such as American Tapes, Animal Disguise, Chondritic Sound, Hanson and Connelly's own Gods of Tundra imprint and most recently released the 'Totalled and Stranded' LP on Hundebiss and 'Certainty Of Swarms' through No Fun. Also on this trip to the UK look out for a tour only LP (limited to 100 copies!) entitled 'Stay In Bodies'.' Upset the Rhythm
Previously seen at a noise-scorched August date for Crushing Death back in 2006, probably the loudest gig I've ever experienced in Cambridge by a long way.

FAMILY BATTLESNAKE
Berlin-based Bill Kouligas makes his long-overdue Cambridge debut. FB has collaborated with Chris Corsano, Damo Suzuki, Karen Constance, Sudden Infant and more, with a sound conjuring up a hazy psychedelic mayhem of mind-blowing drones from lulling numbness to fierce noise outbreaks. FB has releases forthcoming on Harbinger Sound and Bo' Weavil.

TEMPERATURES
(Heat Retention, Ultramarine)
Temperatures are a bass/voice and drums/synth duo from London formed in late 2004, producing several vinyl releases and touring with A Middle Sex and Ninni Morgia Control Unit.
“The Temperatures again prove that they are one of London's most spasmodically captivating outfits with the release of their first LP, Ymir (Heat Retention). The previous 7" aktion has been good (particularly the debut 7" on 4th Harmonic), but this record drags the whole drum/bass/duo concept into a new sludgier realm. They don't so any of the proto-prog calesthetics of Lightning Bolt, but prefer to just roll around in muzz. The second side is noisier, starting with their ’familiar’ sound of knotted, hammered bass notes and drum clatter that breaks down after a few minutes before exploding into some terrifically noisy interplay with - it has to be said - Mark E Smith-style ranting before the yearning, thrilling conclusion. These boys don’t give much away, with the abstract titles and imagery, so just enjoy this night bus ride through hell.
