The monthly Octopus Ride! club night returns to the Globe with a spanking line-up spearheaded by the poptabulous Roadside Poppies. Featuring at least one Wanner among their midst, the Poppies will astound your ears with the catchiness of their tunes, the righteousness of their harmonies and the sunniness of their demeanour. Expect much joy to be spread.

Support comes from the remarkable Caboose (formerly Santeria). An unexpected and explosive combination of quality pop songwriting and powerful Latin rhythms, driven by Phil Rose's deeper-than-the-Titanic double bass playing, this band is Cambridge's best kept secret.

On top of that, Steve Fenton will be plucking more gems from his extraordinary record collection after the live music finishes at 11, and the whole business is completely free to get into. Enjoy...
